Cuba has excelled in the arts. Visual arts, ballet, dance, theater, opera, music, sculpture, crafts and many other areas. We will be showcasing these accomplishments in this section of Cuban Business Journal®

Director Steven Spielberg was the guest of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Arts and Industry during the first week of November, 2002. He met with admirers, members of the Jewish community and President Castro before returning to the USA.

Efforts to investigate and preserve the newly discovered papers of Ernest Hemingway have been undertaken in Hemingway's Finca in Havana. President Castro and representatives from the USA attended the formal agreement signing in Havana in November, 2002.

Cultural exchanges between the USA and Cuba have been curtailed through 2006. The Bush Administration is considering ways to tighten the Embargo against Cuba.
